Coordination of Care

It is no accident that we chose to locate our office on the campus of Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. Many of our patients have complex medical problems and see more than one type of specialty physician. Many of our patients benefit from having more than one specialist managing a single medical problem. Our patients have convenient access to all of the specialty care that a large children's hospital has to offer.

We also understand that parents would like to limit the number of times their child will be placed under anesthesia. We do our best to coordinate with other physicians and surgeons and to combine procedures that require sedation or anesthesia.

Using the facilities and support of a large children's hospital has other advantages. For example, Children's radiologists use low-dose radiation protocols for tests such as CT scans in order to limit risks to your child. If your doctor recommends other tests such as blood work, you will find that the laboratory technicians have a lot of experience working with small children and can put your child at ease. Our office has direct access to your child's Children's electronic medical record and with your permission our doctors can view these records, including radiology imaging, at the time of your visit.

We appreciate the opportunity to care for your child alongside other experienced pediatric doctors, nurses, and support staff, in a comprehensive, state-of-the-art facility.
